Is my stoneware only for fine dinners and weekends?
Absolutely not.
While handmade ceramics may cost more than mass-produced alternatives, my hope is that you use them every day — not just for special occasions.Enjoy them in the small, quiet rituals: the müsli you quickly scoop into a bowl before rushing off to work. The chaotic, noisy dinner shared with tired kids and a grumpy dog. The late-night apple, sliced and savored before bed.
These ordinary moments matter. My aim is to craft objects that elevate the everyday and to make you more present in them

All my ceramics are 100% handmade from start to end. Some items are hand thrown by my very good potter friend; Andrea Uhlenhut. A German potter, living in Valdres, Norway.
Everything is hand glazed and fired in my workshop. Because of their handmade and unique nature they will be more fragile than industrial made ceramics. This may seem like a contradiction - but remember that you invest in something more than just an object to be used as a neutral base for your drink or food. You pay for craftsmanship, for keeping a small and non corporate business alive, a whole lot of more time and awareness in each object. You invest in the future environment by taking more care of the objects you surround yourself with, rather than changing the whole cupboard when something brakes. And hopefully you invest in yourself by reflecting on the aesthetical and spiritual gift our nature gives us.

Every piece is unique:
Most of my glazing techniques makes unique drawings of color and shapes on the surface. You will probably not get the same piece as you see in the picture. I am not able to send more pictures to show all the different pieces - but I will handpick each object from the kiln and I have a strict view on each one and that they need to be of good quality.
I hope to give the right expression of the colors and looks in my pictures - but some of the colors are hard to give the right tones thru a photograph. Take a look at my instagram profile as well. There you will be able to see some of the pieces in different settings which can give you a complete feeling to it.

They are dishwasher safe. But if you like your ceramics to last for ages and generations, handwashing will be the most gentle procedure.
Although my calculations says that if you live a hectic life and handwashing is a hassle, the possibility for breaking something is even higher than putting it in the dishwasher.

Chipping:
To prevent them from chipping handle them with care. One, two or even three times of knocking together can work fine. Over time small invisible damages will make the ceramic more fragile and on the fourth or sixth time they will chip or even break. Stacking is not a problem - it is «the edge toward edge» of plates and bowls that eventually will chip.
Surface wear and tear:
Some surfaces will over time show signs of use - especially the complete matt surfaces and also some styles that is very glossy. I recommend putting a little piece of cloth between the glossy objects when stacking them in the cupboard. This goes particularly for the Foggy Forest style. If the matt surfaces(not the glossy ones!) gets visible stripes after using them, you can gently vipe over with a damp cloth and some scouring agent. This will affect the surface over time, so make sure to not do it too often. If the stripes are very visible maybe look into your cutlery and what metal they are made of. Often times thin and cheap cutlery have very soft metals and its the metal that actually gets of on the ceramic.

Right of Withdrawal for Handmade Ceramic Purchases
When buying goods made by me, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your item, in accordance with Norwegian consumer protection law.
P.S: Used objects will not be accepted in return!
❗ Exception: Custom-Made Products
The right of withdrawal does not apply to items that have been custom-made or clearly personalized to your request (cf. the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act § 22 (e)). This includes ceramics made with specific shapes, colors, engravings, names, or other personal adaptations.
If you have ordered a custom-made item, the right of withdrawal does not apply.
I still hope that you will look at the pictures and think thru your purchase before ordering. I am aware that things can look different when getting objects into your home, but my schedule is fragile and I put a lot of effort into running this business, alone. The profit of all the time I put into the work is not of a great amount, and I will find it sad to have to get that extra office work - and do the refund of the purchases I already were hoping and planning to pay my bills for. So thank you in advance, for thinking thru your order before doing the purchase <3
